Arthritis of the Knees May Mask Heart Disease Risk


If you have arthritis in your knees, it’s important to be pay attention to the pattern of your pain. That’s because the pain from blockages in the blood vessels of the leg, caused by peripheral artery disease (PAD), can be easily mistaken for arthritis pain. The main difference is that pain from PAD gradually worsens throughout the day, while arthritis pain tends to improve with movement.
