Sure you know enough not to light up a cigarette, but exposure to secondhand smoke endangers your heart, too. A study by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service found that nonsmokers who are exposed to secondhand smoke at home or at work have a 25 to 30 percent higher risk of developing heart disease.
