"Healthy" Doesn't Always Mean Good for You

Just because a restaurant labels something as healthy or it's a vegetarian option, it doesn't automatically make the dish the best choice. In the book, Eat This, Not That, author Dave Zinczenko identifies, "6 Worst 'Healthy' Restaurant Foods." On the list, are IHOP's Garden Omelet, Ruby Tuesday's Turkey Avocado Burger, and Blimpie's Veggie Supreme. Instead of relying on catchy names, look at ingredients and portion size; if a dish has lots of cheese or dressing or if it's super-sized, it's not good for you -- no matter what it's called.

It is very hard to trust any

It is very hard to trust any restaurant when you are going out to eat. Even food items that seem innocent like a vinaigrette from Panera, may contain a lot of sugar and be very high in calories. If you eat out occasionally, watch your portions but enjoy yourself!
