Napping Patterns May Indicate Heart Risk

A recent study at the California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute looked at 8,000 women, age 69 and older. The study found that those who took the most naps were at the greater risk for dying of heart disease. Those who napped three hours per week or less saw no increase in their likelihood of heart disease. Researchers think it’s not the napping itself that raised the women’s risk of heart disease, but the cause behind their fatigue that may be the culprit.
