October Heart Health Fair in Raleigh, NC
Sister to Sister, in partnership with Rex Healthcare, sponsored a heart health fair on October 24, 2007 from 10:30 a.m to 2:00 p.m. at the Marbles Kids Museum (formerly known as Exploris), 201 East Hargett Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. Click here for directions.
Free heart health screenings were provided to the first 200 attendees and will include:
- Blood pressure
- Cholesterol
- Blood glucose
- Body Mass Index(BMI)
- Waist circumference
- Triglycerides
The event is part of "The Good, The Bad, and The Forgotten Fat" initiative, a national campaign focusing on women, heart disease, and triglycerides sponsored by an educational grant from Abbott.
