Hello - I am a four year survivor of a classic heart attack. 47 yrs old, female, non-smoker for four years! Yes, I quit after the attack. I have two stents in the left coronary artery. I seem to be more healthy than I ever have in my life. I guess it was my wake up call. All my numbers are excellent. I just seem to struggle with the weight. I eat right and have an occasional hamburger and fries.
I enjoy kayaking and traveling. I went back to school to work on a medical coding certificate. I hope to change careers soon. I live near Peoria, IL. I did not see a forum for Peoria yet. There is not a good support network here in Peoria for women in my age group. I suffered with post-depression for about two years after. I did not take any meds for it. I came from a family who believed in just dealing with your suffering in silence. Anyway, I am glad I found this site.

Good that you are taking care of yourself and looking forward to a healthier lifestyle. I understand about the depression. I came from one of those "just be quiet and don't let anyone know" families also. Unfortunately, suffering in silence is not the answer-never. Do what you can to make your life and health better. Taking care of yourself is important-inside and out, mentally and physically!

Good luck with the Coding class. I have been Coding for over 15 years now. Here's to a heartier lifestyle!

The city Chicago was founded in 1833, near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed. The Potawatomi were forcibly removed from their land following the Treaty of Chicago. The city became a major transportation and telecommunications hub in North America.[8] Today, the city retains its status as a major hub, both for industry and infrastructure, with Chicago-O'Hare International Airport as the second busiest airport in the world. In 2007[update], the city attracted 32.8 million domestic visitors[9] and about 1.15 million foreign visitors.
