Since 1999, Sister to Sister has pioneered the cause of heart disease prevention in women through heart-health programs, educational materials and awareness campaigns that heart disease is the #1 killer of women. Many of our programs have focused on women and busy mothers who multitask 24/7 and juggle work, families and outside activities, and often focus on their health last.

Sister to Sister has successful community-based and online programs dedicated to health prevention through education and behavior change. We mobilize resources and empower women to invest in their health through lifestyle changes that will reduce one's risk for heart disease.

At a Sister to Sister Heart Health Screening, I sat down with a counselor to review my results. While I understood that my poor diet and lack of exercise was affecting my health, the counselor’s concern really hit home. She recommended small changes to fit in my busy schedule. When she asked if I wanted to be around when my daughter has her own child, that made me realize how important it is for me to start taking my heart health seriously.
