Having an “apple” shape body (more fat around your middle) puts you at greater risk of heart disease and diabetes than if you have a “pear” shape (more fat around your hips). So, if you tend to store more weight around the middle, maintaining a healthy weight is extra important for you. Strive for 30 minutes of exercise most days and aim to keep your waist circumference at 35 inches or smaller.
