Watch Your Liquid Calories

To lose weight, you must take in fewer calories than your body uses. Most people focus on their food intake, but what you drink could pack a large calorie punch too. To reduce liquid calories, choose fat-free milk over 2 percent or whole milk (even in your coffee or latte), substitute water for non-diet soda, eat fruit rather than drinking fruit juice, and watch those sports drinks—many are loaded with calories.

My husband and I have cut

My husband and I have cut down on our milk consumption, and went from whole milk to 1%. I don't think we could go any lower than that since I think skim milk taste like water. I never drink soda or sports drinks because of the sugar and try to eat whole fruit instead of fruit juice. But the obvious omissions to this article is alcohol. Although a glass of wine is good for your heart health and is nice to relax and reduce stress, it does have calories. And not to mention beer and hard liquor. But just like anything, it's all in moderation and I don't think deprivation really makes anyone happy.
